Central Location Interviewing (CLT) is when face-to-face interviews are conducted at one specified location (e.g. mall intercept interviewing).
CLT is to be able to test physical products in a setting, with more control of the testing process. By being with the participants at the specified locations, helps to control bias, engage participants more with the process, and thus gain accurate and useful results.
